JungBoxKR is a smaller-scale proxy service located in South Korea. They provide you with a personal account and link it to your own Korean address. They primarily communicate via WhatsApp so you have it to sign up and work with them. They are slightly more expensive than a lot of other Korean proxies, but they are more versatile since they are a smaller company and they are more amenable to helping with requests. They provide Korean address services and proxy-buying services from Korean websites.
First, you need to have a WhatsApp to sign up and communicate with them. They will help you with making an account when you reach out to them as their instructions indicate.
Second, you can either request proxy-purchasing services by making requests according to their guidelines via WhatsApp chat, or you can enter your personal Korean address and make purchases yourself. They will let you know when items arrive via WhatsApp and send you pictures with a short description.
Third, you then have 30 days from arrival of your first parcel to either consolidate or not and then ship your items from their warehouse. They charge a box fee based on parcel size, and then they typically offer EMS and EMS premium as their primary shipping options.
You will start by going to their website, select 'CREATE ACCOUNT', and follow their steps. Once they process your account and finish helping you sign up, they will outline terms of service and provide you with your own personal Korean address. You can access this information and FAQ from the website when you login to your account in the future.
Some Korean sites require the address to be entered in Korean and others require that you enter the address in English. Follow the directions of the website you are trying to use.
Your account should include a section where it provides your personal Korean address in English and Korean, you can copy and paste into the correct boxes if you have the JungBoxKR site and the site you are ordering from at the same time.
If it is possible on the site you are ordering from, you should fill the billing address section with the billi address associated with your payment method, rather than having it be the Korean address.
To make purchase requests using JungBoxKR as a proxy, you need to communicate with them via WhatsApp. You can ask for instructions if that's easier for you. I will outline them step-by-step below as well.
Send a message to JungBoxKR requesting they purchase for you via proxy. If you need them to make an online purchase, then include a link to webpage for that item and then specify the quantity you would like and if there is any other information they'd need to order for you (example: color, size). If you are asking them to make an in-person purchase, send them information about the location and inquire about if it is possible and they should guide you from there. If you are ordering several items via online proxy or in-person proxy, then number the items in a list in your message and include any specifics for quantity or description with the corresponding number. (Ex: 1. shirt - small, purple, quantity of 1 --- 2. sweatshirt - medium, pink, quantity of 2)
JungBoxKR will respond with a quote for how much it will cost with associated fees (including PayPal G&S fees where applicable, and list the amount due in the both won and your currency).
Once you confirm and send payment, they will then send you an order confirmation before placing the order.
Once the order confirmation is approved, they will place the order.
They will notify you when the items are at your Korean address.
To make a consolidation request:
Login to your account on the JungBoxKR website.
Go to the "Items" tab.
Select the packages you would like to consolidate, click the 'plus' symbol in the top right corner, enter the desired info as to # of boxes, maximum box size, and special requests.
Submit your request.
Once your request is submitted, they will begin the consolidation process and typically update you within 1-2 business days after your request was submitted.
If the items will not all fit into one box or there are other concerns, they may ask you questions or fit as much as possible then place overflow items back in your personal address area and they will reappear in your 'Items' tab.
This is based on my experience shipping from JungBoxKR to the USA, so it may be slightly different if you are shipping to another destination.
To provide shipping information:
Login into your account on the JungBoxKR site.
Go to the "Boxes" tab.
Click on "Enter Shipping Details" for the box you would like to ship.
Fill out the required information. (Example: Name, Address, City, Zipcode, Country, Phone Number, Email, Value of Items, Types of Items, Quantity of Items).
If you know or are capable of determining the HTS codes applicable to the items you plan to ship, you can include those, they may adjust them if they think another is more suitable.
You should always declare the actual value of your items and parcels when you are shipping. Customs duty will be based upon value by category and applicable rates, and honesty is always the best policy for stuff like this. (Also, your odds of being reimbursed by a shipping company/insurance should anything happen to your parcel is higher if you are honest.)
I think JungBoxKR is generally great, they are my primary Korean address/proxy service.
They do have some faults compared to the bigger companies, mainly that they work very sparingly or not at all on weekends, so if you need to make a proxy purchase or request consolidation or shipping, you should do it during their business hours on weekdays in KST. They are also generally a little more expensive, again, likely because they are a more personal, small proxy service.
They do have many benefits though, including: ability to order from most Korean stores and resale sites for you with a small fee, take special packing requests (like pouring out a commemorative bottle's contents so it's easier to ship), provide unboxing services for a fee, are very responsive during their business hours, and they have very efficient but protective packaging for parcels they pack.
Overall, I do recommend their service if you are able to justify the slightly higher costs, are able to communicate with them during their business hours (aka if you're not primarily a weekend shopper), and want a more personal proxy than other popular options.
